Featuring all-original dial printing and no signs of water damage or heavy discoloration, this particular model also features the desirable AOPA logo on the dial, signifying that it was sold through the Aircraft Owners & Pilots Association. The watch is in running condition with the chronograph starting, stopping, and resetting correctly at this time. Almost a decade after the original AOPA model, Breitling introduced contrasting subdials to the Navitimer. The reverse panda configuration is now a hallmark of the Navitimer collection, but at the time, the decision was made primarily to improve legibility.

The movement has "WOG” engraved, which is the U.S. import mark for Breitling; it stands for Wakmann Watch Co., which was the U.S. importer for Breitling at the time.This example has aged beautifully, with its gilt glossy "AOPA only" dial showing no signs of wear other than a highly desirable patina on the lume that is matched by the hands.
