If you only have to change the bezel ceramic insert, then remove the pearl, put a toothpick into the pearl hole on the ceramic insert, then pull it off. When it has been removed then you can clean the bezel with removing the glue. The ceramic inserts aren't very expensive to have replaced, only a few hundred bucks. Unfortunately, only Rolex can do the job for you as I don't believe that they provide inserts to independents ( Chill .This instructable will guide you through removing and replacing the bezel on your Rolex Submariner. The same general process can be used with a GMT Master II. I used my stainless steel anniversary sub, reference 16610.
