This 1938 gentleman’s vintage Omega “doctor’s watch” offers an opportunity for the serious Omega collector acquire a piece that would be almost unobtainable elsewhere. Dipping into their historic catalog, Omega took design elements from their classic mid-century chronographs to create a classic “Doctor’s Watch.” It measures 39mm across, and comes on an Omega strap with the original buckle. From Speedies to Seamies (I made that up) to Railmasters and more, we have Omega watches galore. The Rolex Prince and its more affordable American counterpart, the Gruen Techni-Quadron, both first released in 1928, are also known as “doctor’s watches.” (Ah, simpler times.when a watch’s primary purpose was as a functional tool).
