The Yamaha YSL-354 or King 606 would be a better option, if you can get your hands on one . I've found some reasonably-priced used student trombones from reputable companies for sale in my area. They both look to be good shape (no dents in the slide). Looking for some advice on which brand/model is better: Yamaha YSL-354. Bach TB301. I'm going to purchase a used trombone as a gift for my wife. She played in HS, but hasn't played since (15 years). I found these two trombones through OfferUp for 5 each. The Yamaha YSL-354 or King 606 would be a better option, if you can get your hands on one of those instead. My high school had two Bach TB300’s and the slide action wasn’t the greatest. I played a Yamaha YSL-354 in school and I own a King 606 (that I bought for >0), and they’re both amazing. I felt the Soloist played very well and was comparable to Yamaha 354s that I've played. It plays much better than my Getzen 351 and my Olds Ambassador. The tone is milder (darker) than the Getzen and seems to slot better. There are several listed on Reverb from about 0 to 0--all used. The Yamaha 354 is a student line instrument that is professionally playable. I have no experience with the Bach student/intermediate lines, so I'm wondering if anyone could shed some light on this. I see the 200b looks a lot like a 36b, and the 600 looks like a 3b.
You may be able to get a second hand Bach TB300 or something like that for about 0 if you shop around. You should be able to get a second hand Yamaha YSL 354E for around 0 too, youu can't go wrong with a Yamaha when it comes to their trombones. Those are both good, versatile trombones. One solution, the YSL-354 manufactured by Yamaha, is a student-level trombone with a counterweight that detaches from the instrument. This makes the instrument much lighter for a beginner to hold! Yamaha vs. Bach Trombones. I’m planning to step up my instrument to an advanced quality instrument. I’m currently an unknown brand intermediate, second-hand, trombone. The section leader for the trombones plays a Yamaha and our second chair plays a Bach. Both recommend each brand.
I tested the powerful and versatile Yamaha YSL 354 Trombone. Perfect for any level player, experience the exceptional sound and precision. Get yours now!
