BVF has the best-cut crystal and a barely floating R. GF doesn't have the floating R, and you can get an acceptable crystal in most cases. Also cheaper. I don't remember seeing a recent QC for 3kf. I also haven't seen any complaints about the finishing on either of the two in recent QCs. It's always a tradeoff.
